As a student of life I've learnt that life has its fair share of ups and downs, and it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, especially between the ages of 18 and 27.
You might be facing academic pressures, career uncertainties, financial struggles, relationship issues, or the general anxiety of figuring out your path in life.
This email is for you if you’re going through a rough stage right now.
Think back to a few months ago, a few weeks ago, or even a few days ago.
You were anxious about something, weren’t you?
You worried and stressed, and it felt like the weight of the world was on your shoulders.
But what happened?
You solved the problem. Maybe it wasn’t easy, but you did it.
You found a way through without as much stress as you anticipated.
So, why should this current problem be any different?
Why should you let it consume your thoughts and steal your peace?
You’ve navigated rough waters before, and you’ll do it again.
Stressing over it won’t make it easier; it only drains your energy.
It’s important to remind yourself of your past victories.
You’ve overcome challenges and risen above obstacles before, and you’ll do it again. Improve your gratitude practice.
Take a moment each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for, even the small things.
This helps you stay grounded and at peace, even when you’re going through tough times.
Gratitude isn’t just about appreciating the good times.
It’s about recognizing your strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
It’s about remembering that every storm eventually passes, and you come out stronger on the other side.
Think about the times when you felt like giving up but didn’t.
The times when you thought you couldn’t handle it, but you did.
Those moments are proof of your inner strength and resourcefulness.
They are reminders that you are capable of more than you realize.
When you’re in the middle of a rough stage, it’s easy to forget your past triumphs.
But take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
Life is a series of peaks and valleys, and every valley you go through prepares you for the next peak.
Remember, it’s okay to feel anxious and uncertain. It’s a part of being human.
But don’t let those feelings paralyze you. Trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way. You’ve done it before, and you’ll do it again.
Stay grateful, stay strong, and keep moving forward. This too shall pass.
Until I write to you again next Tuesday, I remain your favorite human being.
